“Excellence in Fibers 2016,” Fiber Art Now

Print Exhibition (and show of selected works):    March 2017

Because of the vast response to the first Excellence in Fibers exhibition, we have established a more refined approach for Excellence in Fibers 2016, to better identify the range of the makers and their intent. Therefore, we have established five categories to narrow the entry focus. The final exhibition catalog will be expanded to make a larger publication and include more of the selected works. Prizes will be given in every category. This will allow for a more comprehensive exhibition and increased opportunities for the artists.

Selected works from Excellence in Fibers 2015 and 2016 will be shown at the New Bedford Art Museum, New Bedford, Massachusetts in March, 2017!

Deadline:  October 1, 2016

See Website for details.

“Party On!” The Richard M Ross Museum

Ohio Wesleyan University, Delaware, OH:    May 13- July 1, 2016

An exhibition of art quilts expressing our obsession with parties of all types, whether celebrations of special days, or of the political variety.

Birthdays, anniversaries, retirements – all call for parties. There are celebrations of life and wakes when loved ones leave us. Holidays that are sacred, secular, national and local are marked with parties. The many sides of our electoral system are each named a “party.”

Share your interpretation of “Party” with us, whether a literal representation or an abstract expression.
