“Blue Marble,” San Luis Obispo Museum of Art

Blue Marble, refers to the spectacular color image of planet Earth taken with NASA’s Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer. The theme for this exhibition welcomes artists who delve into subjects, themes, and motifs that have to do with our planet. Contemporary original 2D and 3D work in any media, including paintings, prints, drawings, photography, sculpture, and fine craft produced within the last two years is appropriate.

“RAGS Wearable Art Sale,” YWCA, Pierce County

RAGS is a juried wearable art competition and sale that benefits the YWCA’s domestic violence prevention and intervention programs. Produced entirely by volunteers, sponsors, and underwriting donations, RAGS offers the public an opportunity to view and acquire fabulous handmade clothing, jewelry and accessories created by artisans from across the country. A portion of all sales helps the YWCA keep survivors of domestic violence and their children safe, healthy and self-sufficient.

“Call of the Clouds,” artEast Art Center

Gallery 110 Annual Juried Exhibition, Cornish College of the Arts

Gallery 110’s annual juried exhibition will showcase work by emerging and established artists. Our gallery location and reputation offer artists exposure to professional reviews, access to Seattle’s Pioneer Square gallery district and First Thursday Art Walk. JUROR: Melissa Feldman has curated shows across the US and in the UK. Most recently, she has taught at Seattle’s Cornish College of the Arts, as well as the California College of Art, the San Francisco Art Institute and Goldsmith’s College in London. Melissa Feldman also acts as an independent writer, having been published in periodicals such as Art in America, Aperture and more.
