“Celebration of the Horse,” Confluence Gallery

Twisp, WA:    August 29th – October 3rd, 2015

We invite you to contribute to our exhibit “Celebration of the Horse” at the Confluence Gallery in Twisp, WA. The Confluence Gallery will give a percentage of the proceeds to the non-profit organization Methow Valley Riding Unlimited (MVRU), which offers a therapeutic riding program among others.  The Horse is often seen as a symbol to represent power, beauty, grace, nobility, strength, freedom, movement, healing spirits, and wind among many others. So join us to “Celebrate the Horse!”

“2015 Summer Juried Art Show,” Jansen Art Center

Lynden, WA:    June 4 – July 31, 2015

We are now accepting submissions for our 2015 Early Summer Juried Exhibit. There is a $10 submission fee, which includes up to 5 submissions total. The deadline to submit art is Monday, May 11, 11:59 pm PST and only online submissions will be considered. In addition to visual art, poetry and literary works, films, and installation submissions will be considered.

“Entangled,” All things looming

Our daily lives are complex and miraculous. There is an ever-expanding interconnectedness that we have with one another in both our private and public lives.  This interconnectedness can also feel overwhelming and pressure-filled. Communications can be ‘jumbled’ and misunderstood in a text ‘thread’, for example. Our relationships are complicated- family, friend, foe. ‘some things looming’  invites artists to connect with our audience as they interpret “Entangled” utilizing fiber techniques.

“Art Quilt Elements, 2016,” Wayne Art Center

Wayne, PA:    March 18 to April 28, 2016

AQE 2016 is the 12th exhibition of this internationally acclaimed show set in suburban Philadelphia. “One of the distinctions of our show is our professional presentation of art quilts. The exhibition has been widely praised by reviewers and artists not only for exhibiting the quilts in our gallery settings but also for promoting the art quilt as an art form” stated Nancy Campbell, Executive Director of the Wayne Art Center.
